FOUNDER’S PAGE

Dear Friends,

When God first placed the burden of cult evangelism on my heart, I had no idea how wide-reaching it would become. What I saw was simple but sobering: the cults were multiplying, and the church was unprepared. Believers who loved the LORD often lacked the knowledge to defend their faith, and without that foundation, many were being deceived.

I knew something had to be done. With the LORD’s help, I began Baptist World Cult Evangelism (BWCE) not as my ministry, but as His work. The goal from the very beginning was to reach those trapped in false systems with the gospel of Jesus Christ and to strengthen churches by grounding believers in sound doctrine.

The biblical principles that guided me were clear:
    1. The False Foundation Principle (Matthew 7:24-27), exposing the unstable ground of error.
    2. The Restoration Principle (2 Timothy 2:24-26) gently leads souls to the truth in Christ.

Over time, I realized that the church's real weakness was discipleship. Too often, our classrooms become “listening centers” instead of true learning centers. Speaking is not teaching, and listening is not learning. The Great Commission requires more; it calls us to teach believers to observe all that Christ commanded. That is why my burden grew, not only to evangelize the cults, but to help churches equip their people to stand firm in the truth and to pass it on to others.

Looking back, I give all glory to the LORD for what He has done. BWCE has always been about His church, His truth, and His power. My prayer is that the next generation will rise up to carry this same burden, reaching the lost, strengthening the saved, and multiplying disciples until He comes again.

    In Christ,
Founder, Baptist World Cult Evangelism, 1994

How will religious cult leaders appear?

(Matt. 24:24-25 KJV) For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great sings and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before.

(Matt. 7:15 KJV) Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

(II Cor. 11:13-14 KJV) For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

They will appear as "anointed leader" who claims to be the new channel for God's revealed truth.

They will appear in an organization that holds enough control over its members to separate and destroy their families.

They will appear as an individual or organization whose authority they cannot challenge.

They will appear in an organization that does not show its financial statements to the general membership.

They will appear as an individual or organization that claims the Bible alone is not sufficient to reveal God's wisdom and truth, they must supplement and "correctly interpret" the Bible with the literature that organization or individual writes.

They will appear as an individual or organization that claims that doing the "good works" they emphasize is necessary to assure one of worthiness to enter the new kingdom and to keep God's favor.

They will appear as an individual or organization that uses "new light" to cover up their false prophecies and changing doctrines.
