Tips and Recipes

Favorite candy:

Crunchies. These were named by our son-in-law Brian. We started making these while living in Austria because the kids could make them with me. We never had a name for them then one day Brian came in and asked if I had anymore of those Crunchies left. After you eat them you will know why he called them crunchies.

Melt a bag of chocolate chips.

Stir in corn flakes. You can also use raisin bran cereal.

Drop onto a wax papered lined cookie sheet with a regular spoon until cool.

Store in a tight container and enjoy.

Tip:

I received this tip from a dear friend of mine in PA. If you want to disinfect something use regular peroxide that comes in the brown bottle that cost next to nothing at the stores This can be used instead of bleach on and in the washer, etc. It really does work and is not toxic or harmful to the body. Below are just a few of the ways it can be used:

Use equal parts with water for plugged sinus. (I have used this many times, it works.)

Toothache-put a capful of 3% peroxide into your mouth and hold it for ten minutes several times a day until you can get to dentist. The pain will lessen greatly.

Use it with equal parts water and spray on wet hair for natural highlights.

Use half the bottle in bath water to help rid boils, fungus or skin infections.

Pour directly onto blood stain clothes let sit for a few minutes then rub it and rinse with cold water, repeat if necessary.

Clean mirrors, no smearing.
